CAT Exam Overview and CAT Exam Eligibility Criteria in India
Common Admission Test (CAT) is the most prestigious exam all over India. CAT is organized by the Indian Institute of Management to test mathematical and logical reasoning ability for those students who want to pursue a post graduate program in management. Its score is used by IIMs situated at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow and Indore as well as by a number of other B-Schools such as Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), and many others.
The minimum eligibility for CAT exam is that you should have a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks but in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Differently Abled category, the minimum criteria is 45% marks in bachelor’s degree.
