JIPMER MBBS Entrance Exam
Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education
Research MBBS Entrance exam is organised by Jawaharlal Institute of Post
Graduate Medical Education and Research for admission into its MBBS program.
Those students who wish to take admission into MBBS can give the exam. The
score obtained in it is valid for one year.
Eligibility Criteria
1. First and most important is that you should be an Indian
national
2. You should be at least 17 years of age at the time of
admission or at most till the end of year when you are admitted i.e. till 31
December, 2013. Thus, you should be born on or before 1 January, 1997.
3. You should have passed 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary
Examination or the equivalent Indian School Certificate Examination, passing
the last two years in physics, chemistry, biology and English. Students in
general category should get at least 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology. For those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/OPH category are required to get
minimum of 40% marks.
4. If you are foreign national, you can be nominated by
central government, so you should consult Ministry of Central Affairs,
Government of India if you are one.
Exam Pattern
1. Exam is conducted in English language only
2. It has 200 objective questions from Physics, Chemistry,
Botany and Zoology, 50 questions from each subject. They need to be answered
within 150 minutes or 1.5 hrs.
3. For every correct answer you get 1 marks an there is no
negative marking.
4. The questions asked are from the syllabus of 11th
and 12th class as per CBSE or concerned State Board.
How to apply
You can apply in following ways:
1.
Obtain form from the JIPMER campus worth 1000
INR for general category or 650 INR for reservation category.
2.
You can get the form from selected SBI branches.
3.
Or you can obtain the form from the campus by
sending a DD worth amount mentioned above.
4.
You can also apply online.
