XAT Overview, Eligibility criteria details, Exam Pattern

The XLRI Admission test conducted by Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), a business school in Jamshedpur is also called as XAT. Its score is used by XLRI for admission to its management courses as well as by a number of other B-schools all over India such as XIM, LIBA, ITM, LPU, XIME and many others. A person who has done the graduation in format of 10+2+3 from a recognized university or has given the final examinations but result is awaited can appear for the exam. The exam used to be  2.5 hrs long before 2011. But since 2011, exam is of 2 hrs duration comprising of three sections:

1. Analytical reasoning and decision making
2. Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation
3. Verbal ability and logical reasoning

Apart from this, students are given extra 20 minutes within which they are supposed to write an essay supporting one of two given statements along with an example.
